Clairmont Morrison is an Aviation Safety Inspector with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), bringing more than 43 years of comprehensive aviation experience, including over 15 years with the FAA. His career spans key operational and regulatory roles, with deep expertise in air carrier evaluations, certifications, and regulatory enforcement. He is widely respected for his commitment to the highest standards of aviation safety.
Originally from Georgetown, Guyana, Mr. Morrison began his aviation career as an Air Traffic Controller with the Civil Aviation Department. After migrating to the United States, he earned his Aircraft Dispatcher certification and served as a dispatcher with CommutAir/US Air Express, Atlas Air, and Gemini Air Cargo. He later worked as an aviation consultant with Northrop Grumman before joining the FAA.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Morrison has participated in numerous air carrier evaluations and certifications, approved aircraft dispatcher training schools, and contributed to accident and incident investigations.
Currently, his work focuses on air carrier evaluations, certification of new air carriers, and the continuous improvement of safety protocols, while supporting certificate holders in meeting FAA regulatory requirements. He remains dedicated to safeguarding the flying public and educating the next generation of aviation professionals.
